Thanks, could of warned me though, as the shock has made me go all Funny-er than normal... :o)
Will do Miss, just hate colds, they bring you down so fast dont they, i normally down a bottle of whiskey but ive only my collection whiskey here now and thats saved for corey when he's old enough, I have a bottle of whiskey that was bottled in 1972, and the whiskey was 40 years old when bottled, it has a value of £300, The word Whiskey means water of life in Celt and i think its right, just a wee dram very day keeps the bugs away ....
Well, that will be very valuable in years to come.
Please don't use alcohol if you're sick all the time. Give your body a rest and drink plenty of water. It might feel good in the short term, but it's really very rough on your body.
I hope you are feeling better soon, Mike. I hate colds and 'flu. If you think man-flu is bad, you should see Dez-flu!
Ha ha ha,,let me just tell you this my father drank a half bottle of whiskey every day from the age of 18, and i had never seen him ill, cough or cold ever true, and he lived to the ripe old age of 28 :O)
The men I see in my work are often quite young, but they look like old men. Alcohol and drugs really age some people. Even prescription drugs do it. I look older than my years.
Yeah, I asked the doctor once i said, what moisturiser would you recommend for the wrinkles and scars on my face n body,,,he said try swimming???
LOL British people usually look 10 years younger than Aussies. Our sunlight takes its toll on the skin.
Really?
It's true. Americans, too. I guess anywhere where it's so cold people stay in a lot of the year. You can't live in paradise and have a free run, my friend. And we are the skin cancer capital of the world.
give my blue seas and skies any day over pea green seas and grey skies saying that at least i have blue skies this morn :O)
Yes, true. I'd die without lots of sunlight.
Sunshine is good for the well being of all life, even me, the winter months here in UKland make me miserable...
During a hot summer I long for the cold. I love autumn, which is probably quite different from yours. It gets cool, the days are still bright, flowers everywhere still, but it's a wonderful relief from the blistering heat. Not that it usually gets too bad here. And it's usually dry. The rain goes away, and I don't have so much pain. Bliss!
One day i shall visit Oztralia, its beautiful, even when i watch it on the TV i have to put me sunglasses on what a place,,love love loveit...
Queensland is what you're looking for. The southern states get the snow and cold weather. The Northern Territory is mostly desert and lots of cyclones. Western Australia is mostly desert, as is South Australia. Queensland has some desert, but also lush rainforests, amazing beaches, Fraser Island and the Great Barrier Reef. The beaches too far north are muddy messes. Up to Townsville, they're nice. Not that you can swim north of about Rockhampton because of the stingers. They don't tell you about them in the tourist brochures.
Ha ha,,yeah, but all of Australia beats our sunny Blackpool, they dont tell you about the Dog shit here in blackpool neither, loads visit blackpool the golden mile North west England, yet it is a horrible place, a place of Drunks,, and hen/stag parties, with a generous coating of dog dung.

I have always heard that the British love their dogs. I didn't know they took 'em on holiday! LOL
Yes, all the best places go downhill once tourists start coming in. The Gold Coast in Queensland has some beautiful beaches, but it's a drug and tourist capital now, and less safe to live in than Brisbane. Close to me is Hervey Bay - beautiful beaches, whale watching, really close to Fraser Island, great climate - but it's dreadful. All built up, lots of homeless sleeping in the parks and on the beaches, and it has lost its small town feel. It's now twice the size of where I live, and the figures used to be the reverse.
Its true, they wont take a holiday in UKland unless the poo machine can come along also, I have nothing against dogs at all as i had one myself once, but they should be kept away from areas where children play, I was on a local beach a few months ago, a warm sunny day, a little girl was making sand castles in the sand when a woman came along with 3 border collie dogs off the lead, i could not believe my eyes when one of these dogs ran over to this child and urinated over her, its disgusting, i canot understand why or how the owners of dogs think that they should have the right to take their dogs into a public place to releave itself, call me a grumpy old man moaning but there is a list as long as your arm with disease's humans can catch from animals.. there i feel better now!!!
I agree. Beaches and parks should be off limits. And people with no yards shouldn't have them. Seeing-eye dogs, etc, are fine. If you want a pet, you can have many things other than a dog.
Zactly, Appropriate pet for the accommodation you live in, i agree..
That settles it, then. Now, how can we convince the resk of the world?
They wont listen, too busy setting off fireworks blowing birds and tiny animals out of their roosting places....bloody idiots they are!!!
Well, that's it for another year. 2012. So far, so good.
2.00am in the morning here, no alcohol just cant sleep,,jumped in the car at 1.30am to collect daughter from party and the car would not start totally dead,,then burst into life, so thats the warning 2012 needs a mechanic!!!
Wow, that's a very convenient time for it to play up!
It's midday here, and I know a cheap mechanic.
