You should be able to manage to watch England, Cris, we don't tend to move very quickly.
Impressed with South Korea. I can see them coming 2nd in group!

@ cris, nice article there.
yeah s. korea was good today, but they were out of wits by the end of the game. they slowed down. i'm impressed with argentina, they opened with a bang, but could not convert. nigeria was unlucky too
Yes, the coverage starts in five minutes on ABC Sports and it seems the US has taken a big interest in this match.

This is the top soccer blogger in the US and there is a lot of interest based on last years performance.
GOAL!!!! We just got one! Go USA!!
I admit it was a sloppy goal, but it was enough to keep us tied to the end :)
USA dint do bad. but it was the english side that bungled rather than exceptional work from the US team. not what I had expected sadly. but, at the end of the day, the result counts, the english side look a bit lost!
Dempsey did good work though.
I agree but still think the USA side has a real chance of progressing to next stage. England did make it very hard work for themselves, as usual. I was impressed with the English work rate & attitude though.
Ouch! Germany comes strong this time. Mein Gott, they are so corpulent, this Mario Gomez is B I G
Agreed. England certainly won't want to beat them until much later in the tournament.
Well, the Australian team was left wondering what hit them. Very poor showing, but no-one ever expected them to win, particularly against Germany. Poor beggars probably did their best.
The England team would have been better if they had remembered that one of the eleven men was supposed to be a goalkeeper :0)
Pff, we won (the Dutch team) against Denmark today. I'm deaf from the vuvuzela eventhough my name is in it ;-)
Cursed will be the day if those horns find their way to stadiums in the US.
Here is a nice World Cup map app by Bing maps:

I have thoroughly enjoyed the vuvuzelas as adding an Afrikan feel to world cup. However was really pleased to hear our band during England match. Listen out on Friday...
My boy has such a vuvu thing at home. They watched the game Holland - Denmark at school.
The Bing app doesn't work on my computer. Maybe I don't have silverlight
Jay, I have a lightsaber and doesn't work for me either 8)))
I know New Zealand hate us in sport, but we love them, and I am so proud they had a draw in their game. Well done!
We lost (Spain) in our start game against Switzerland, things get very difficult for us from now on. Snif ;((((((
Brazil has a long tradition in the World Cup and got its first win yesterdau.
I, personally, prefer to watch a beutifully played game that Brazil loses to winning a game that was not pleasant to watch.
Soccer, and many other sports, is meant to be beautiful!

The French also lost, from Mexico, how weird.
France loss was weird - but they looked completely out of sorts. Swiss team beating spain was also a shock. the Argentina match was a goalfest!
I did not like the sending off in the greece vs nigeria match. the greece player faked it completely. there was no contact even by the nigerian player. its so blatantly disgusting tactics by greece, wholly undeserving.
This has got to be a weird world cup, first vuvuzela racket - Its completely annoying to play the damn thing ALL the time! the jabulani ball also is a massive flop. what a disaster! I hope it gets better.
France loss was weird but at the same time Mexico did played well. France did very little to win the match. On the other hand Spain played well but Switzerland scored one goal and almost a second goal, that was a shock.
I just saw the 'hand of henry' goal against ireland for france's qualifiers. no wonder france is struggling now - they werent meant to be in the finals. big name, not at all in form! spain's struggling to finish, even though they had a lot of possession.
Next match in 30 minutes. The US team needs to win and can't afford to lose. I believe the US is the favorite over Slovenia.
Some guys sneaked some vuvuzelas into Yankee Stadium in New York for the baseball game. After just a couple of blasts on the horns they were escorted out of the stadium. There has been a standing rule for years that no loud noise makers are permitted.
That rule went into effect at most stadiums decades ago when people started bringing in the compressed air fog horns. Looks like the Yankees may be the first to ban the vuvuzelas. They are available from the Soccer shop at Amazon for less than 10 bucks.
